Cart/Dolly/Hand Truck Recommendation?

Post by JamesPaul » Sat Nov 30, 2019 10:39 pm

I have truly been enjoying playing my JSX 212 Combo, but it is nearly impossible to take it anywhere to gig or jam. It weighs in slightly less than a battleship at just over 85 pounds. HxWxD are 20.5x26.5x11 inches. I have a 2 wheel dolly which I've used with 2 or 3 guitars bungee'd to it, but it does not feel like it will stand up to the JSX 212.

Anyone have a recommendation for a proven cart/dolly/hand truck which I could use to haul the JSX 212 around?

CAsters are generally solid. But for your basic two-wheel hand truck, I prefer pneumatic tires - air filled tires - over solid tires. The air filled tires roll over things like cables WAY easier than solid wheels. If you ever were rolling along with solid wheels and hit a cable that stopped you cold, like a shopping cart hitting a bottle cap, you will appreciate the difference.

Enzo Speaketh The Truth......

I worked at The Cincinnati Coca Cola Bottling Company summers (in college).

ALL of our two wheel carts were equipped with pneumatic tires.

Solid tires are RISKY BUSINESS.

Adding my support for pneumatic tires.

Long ago I was a Coca Cola deliveryman myself. Texas panhandle, back when there were still returnable bottles. All the two-wheelers had pneumatic tires.

I have a solid tired two-wheeler, and often wish that it had pneumatic tires. When I bought it, I need one right then and pneumatic tires weren't a choice at the time. I don't use it very often now, so it only bugs me occasionally.

As long as you're buying something new, do it right the first time.

While we're beating the pneumatic tire horse to even further death...

I was in my local (Little Rock, AR) Northern Tool a couple of days ago and noticed that they carry a wide selection of replacement tires for things like two-wheelers. They currently have what I needed to convert my two-wheeler on sale in the store for $4.99 each. Even better than the online sale price of $8.99 (https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools ... _200711834).

So anybody who has an old hard-tired two-wheeler and wants to convert, check Northern Tool out. If you have access to a store nearby, even better than online right now.

End of pneumatic story.

I was also searching for the same and after going through this chat I bought a Hand Truck. https://www.raptorsupplies.com/l2/hand-trucks this is where I found mine. I got plenty of options here.
Thank you hope this suggestion help others.
