We are running Nion Nware and I am getting a Digital Spike sound after playing an audio clip through the "Wave Player".
The setup is as follows:
We typically run background music and occasionally play a 30sec audio clip announcement through the wave player. When triggered or scheduled to trigger the music is ducked, the announcement happens, and then the music fades back in.
The problem is that before the music comes back in we are getting a nasty digital spike that's abrupt. The announcement recordings are 48K 16 bit and are always clean with no digital spike on the actual recording itself.
Is it a known issue when using the wave player or ducker settings? Please advise.
NION Digital Spike Noise
Re: NION Digital Spike Noise
This is something I have not ever heard of and I used to do support for MediaMatrix NION and related products.
I would wonder how aggressive the ducker is set up? I know if you set attack and release functions too aggressively they can make weird noises because of how fast they are happening.
You may also want to try replacing the algorithms. Sometimes (very rarely) some algorithms can get corrupted and cause strange noises.
You may want to head over to the MediaMatrix forum and post your question there. The folks that frequent that forum are quite familiar with the NION platform: http://www.peaveyoxford.com/forum/
