Just a small show for about 50 people. Looked like rain as far as the weather report said so I drug out my older system. Ended up hardly a cloud in the sky. Still the system worked great after all these years.

Re: Gig Pics Sticky
I've been doing a lot of smaller events over the last couple of months but I have larger shows over 3 weeks.
Last week was the first one, "Rocket City Pride" festival and parade promoting alternative lifestyles.
And now what you've really been waiting for . . . The Drag Queens

Wooferhound; What's on channel 18? Looks like the preamp is cranked. Got to be hissing a little. Of course maybe the condom and lube got it a little excited.

Re: Gig Pics Sticky
Very observant about the gains but not observant enough, if you look closely you will notice that channel 19 is maxed out too. I have a weak leg on my table for the mixer and the FX-24 mixer has been dropped a couple of times, I believe that this problem with channels 18 and 19 and also 20 is the end result of those falls. I believe that a trip to Peavey Service is in the near future.Dookie wrote:Wooferhound; What's on channel 18? Looks like the preamp is cranked. Got to be hissing a little. Re: Gig Pics Sticky
Just now recovering from doing the Spirit Of America show in Decatur Alabama over the 4th Of July weekend. This event was all about Rain. My Huntsville rain gauge showed 3 inches of rain over the 4 days between Thursday and Sunday. Only a small portion of the entertainment was at the main stage, almost everything was moved into a nearby pavilion. I was helping Rock Creek Productions by providing some Stage Decking, An 8 mix monitor system, and 40 lights. It was lots of work moving stuff around to different locations because of the rain.

I recommend 40 percent reduced fat Cheez-its. Because you can eat......40 percent more

A week ago I did s small event, giving out school supplies to underprivileged kids. An XR8600d plus 2 full range cabinets that I rebuilt with Peavey parts last year. Also had a wired mic and a plug to play music from a cell phone. Plenty to eat and a fun time was had by all.

Re: Gig Pics Sticky
Our city allowed a local collage to have a concert downtown on the courthouse steps. Very unusual here as our city leaders are stuffed shirts and don't like us to have much fun. It rained 1.5 inches all day and cleared up at 5:pm, 1 hour before we were supposed to get started, and we started an hour late but everybody was happy.
I was providing a 2000 watt sound system with 20 lights and a fancy drum riser over the steps. Was getting a lot of static noise because everything had lots of moisture but over time it eventually stopped. My new IPR2-2000 amps were kicking butt too.

Re: Gig Pics Sticky
Last Sunday I provided the sound system for the Caribbean Festival at Stoner Field Park in North Huntsville. Took the Big System and used all the power it had. The band played behind a pavilion that had people seated at picnic tables. Kind of strange to see it that way but it sounded great. Lots of good Food, Music and Beverages. Don't miss it next year.

Re: Gig Pics Sticky
I provided a Sound and Lighting system plus a Stage for MeshFest at Big Spring Park here in Huntsville on Saturday. This is almost as big as I can get with the gear that I have available. The stage is 24x10 feet with a small extension in the back for the drummer. The sound system is 3000 watts with 4 monitors. Then there are 40 lights on audio chasers.
This coming Saturday at Three Caves I will try and use the new 12000 watt Sound system that I have been putting together over the last month.
