Peavey Paradox

Post by Box » Fri Jan 14, 2011 1:38 am

What happened with the Paradox? As far as I know only 4 were ever made. What made Peavey decide not to go through with production after going through research and development and etc...? I've always wondered this, didn't know maybe if anyone else here happened to know. I always thought the Paradox was a good idea, and would've been quite successful. I know I want one. If anyone happens to know, I thank you in advance.

Also, didn't really know where to post this since there is no synth section here.

Guess no one really knows? Or can point me in direction of who to ask?

Will delete post after a day or so as to ease some congestion if no one posts.

You've probably seen this, but this article claims there was a part that had to be hand soldered and was too labor intensive.

Yep, really the only info on it. Sucks that they gave up because of that... That or could have redesigned it not to be so labor intensive. If they were to put everything into a 3 octave keyboard, and throw on a pitch and mod wheel they'd really have a winner. Well, I'd think so anyway. And if could be priced at around $1,000. It'd by far be the most superior instrument in it's class, no doubt. More features than the Dave Smith Mopho and Moog Little Phatty. It'd blow them away. And this was 12 years ago, a real shame they didn't stick to it...

Ok, will send an e-mail then. Didn't think customer service would be the place to ask about a product that never really happened.

I just saw this. It would be cool to find one of these. It surely was ahead of it’s time.
