Re: Enzo
So, I was browsing through some old threads and came across this one...
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=27873&hilit=chili
Among his many talents, Enzo was an award winning chef...I remember us having a little debate about chili back then and he sent me this. I do a lot of the cooking around my house as well, and come to find out we have pretty much the same approach, ie; I don't have recipes, just an approach or a method (got that from my Grandma). So, here it is and I present, "The Magic Of Chili" By T.M. Enzo.... Enjoy....

Re: Enzo
With a heavy heart, I offer my deepest condolences to Enzo's family and friends.
What a great soul we've lost.
An ocean of knowledge, and always eager to help anyone and everyone.
And now I know why he was often using food analogies when explaining things, and I loved that!
Thanks Roger.
I remember Enzo mentioning his wife helping him out with his Ski Jump Sumo avatar.
I was never sure if his screen name was in regards to Ferrari, or the Reboot character,
but I am sure that I really, really liked the guy, and he will be greatly missed.
Peace brother.

In case you haven't seen it, I've been posting more details over at https://music-electronics-forum.com/for ... iew=thread where he also was a prolific poster.
The true story is that he had an inside joke with a childhood friend about this guy:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzo_Stuarti
which I actually think is way more interesting than the common Ferrari assumption.

Re: Enzo
Hi Corliss, welcome aboard. I have been following the thread over on the Music Electronics board, but I am not a member there so I haven't commented. Here is what he posted here about the name from a thread in 2010:corliss1 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 4:11 pm

Enzo is just an Italian name - Enzo Ferrari comes to mind.
I was on the radio back in the mid 1960s, and I needed an air name with a little more zip than "Doug." I did a personality show, sorta like what has become the "morning zoo" shows that air these days. There was a singer making the rounds on TV shows at the time - Enzo Stuarte. He was one of those guys who belted out songs in a sorta semi-operatic style. Like Sergio Franci. He came on Johnny Carson one night and sang the Battle Hymn of the Republic. I swear to God. And he sounded darned sincere. Anyway, I took the name from him, and "the mighty Enzo" was born.
And now ladies and gentleman...the mighty Enzo, and his show!!!
I had a sound effect cart with Screaming Jay Hawkins saying "Mugh," and it played every time my name was mentioned on the air.
We would occasionally do some live signing - humerous originals - and I actually played guitar to back them up. That was before I realized that I sucked at guitar. SO my guitar playing has been on the radio. And I guess right about now, 45 light years away in outer space, some alien civilization is just picking up that signal. I can just imagine...
"Hey Norgg, listen to this. WHat do you make of it?"
"SOunds like garbage to me Kryll, clearly there is no intelligent life out there."
Ha, what a brilliant and unique character... To say I will miss him will be a gross understatement....

Re: Enzo
Sorry to read the news. My condolences to your family. Enzo had many, many great repair posts and helped everyone. In every post he made, you could learn something about trouble-shooting and repairing guitar amps. He was there for people, always helpful.
Re: Enzo
Enzo was THE guy here. Sorry to hear about this just now. Huge hole in this and many other forums where Enzo was extra helpful.

Re: Enzo
You should put all of this man's knowledge together in a single thread.
Yesterday I was wondering if I could replace a capacitor with another type, and only after reading that Enzo did it using film capacitors then I said ok I'll do it too.
