There is not a system available that will maintain impedance when daisy chaining cabinets together.
you are presenting a 2 ohm load to the amp which is not recommended.

Re: 12" Black Widow - Rehab

I think that having the foam in there causes more problems than running the speaker without it.

Re: noise PV6 USB

Without anything plugged into the input the impedance goes very high and becomes much more sensitive making the noise much stronger. You must have an input plugged in to obtain a good noise floor. Just turning up an unused channel to check the noise won't work like you think. Plug a sound source in,...

Re: Peavey CS4000 or CS4080HZ Power Amps !!!

It is not recommended to run Any Amp down at 2 Ohms . . . That is more reserved for emergency situations.
Bridging an amp will double the minimum Ohms, an amp that has a minimum of 2 ohms in Stereo Mode will have a minimum of 4 ohms in Bridge Mode.

Re: PVXP12 out of phase?

You do not want to Passively combine L/R signals to a mono TS cable. This will be really hard on the preamp/headphone outs. At the very least google a passive stereo to mono summing circuit and build one . While technically you are correct, in the real world I have been doing this for 50 years with...

Re: cs800x running 4 8 ohm cabinets?

When using Bridge Mode the minimum speaker impedance becomes 4 ohms, then 2 ohms is too low.

Re: PVXP12 out of phase?

In your cabling you have lost the Common Ground, and you are feeding the Left Hot and the Right Hot into the input of the amp without a common ground. The cable that you need to be using is a 3.5mm TRS to a 1/4 inch TS, stereo to mono cable.

Re: Help with 15 inch Peavey Speaker

I have been running many styles of Black Widow speakers without the foam, it rotted and got sucked into the airgap of the magnet. I just cleaned the airgap and did not replace the foam. been running 10 years and more without problems. If you replace the foam plug, be sure to glue it, there is seriou...

if the cabinets cut-off at 40hz then adding more cabinets will not help to gain low frequency content.

Re: Peavey messenger Pro12

I looked up your speakers, yes the crossover will maintain a 4 ohm impedance to the amplifier when connected as directed and both High & Low speakers are connected together.

It's been awhile since I had my hands on that DBX unit, but there is a way to increase the gain on the input ?
