Re: Mark III series Bass Combo low output

Don't worry about the compression for now. It is really a clipping eliminator, it won't generally be an audible effect.

On the power amp board is one 8-leg IC number 87478. Note which way it is in the socket, and remove it. Now doe the amp sound strong?

I know I have the knobs, but from the USA to get one to you would be VERY expensive.

Re: 6534 molex plug

Don't. Cut the connector in two, to remove the burnt sections. Clean up the male pins, and then solder the wires directly to the pins.

Re: PA-400 mixer power amplifier

It is a mono amp.

You will note that each channel does not have a pan or balance control. There is only one power amp in the thing.

Re: What is this for?

Oh I fel free to put more modern r more available parts in place of originals. But I am kinda amused that substituting modern transistor types is too much work, but replacing the entire innards isn't.

A diode? I would check if any op amps or other semis are getting hot.

Did you put in a request for your schematics to [email protected]?

Re: 6505+ IC repair

IC means integrated circuit. We sometimes just call them chips. The 6505+ does not have any ICs. Unless you have a 6505+ 112 combo, which is not the same as a 6505+. The combo has ONE IC and all it does is the reverb. The IC type is an op-amp. Short for operational amplifier. Parts are not hard to g...

Re: Studio Pro 60, Reverb not working

Unplug the pan cables and measure resistance across the jack at each end. The OUTPUT end is working, because you get crash noise. But even though you see no broken wires, the INPUT end coil can still be open. Unplug again the cable from the INPUT jack, and measure resistance from tip to shell on the...

Yes, please start a new thread for your amp repair. We can't work on two of them at the same time in the same thread, it gets very confusing.
