Re: peavey vypyr 75 watt hum
Sounds like a AC hum. Could be caused by a faulty fluorescent light. Also check your instrument cable.

Re: Vypyr 30 and VIP3 controlled using Behringer FCB1010
Got the Behringer Fcb1010 and not sure why some think it is so hard to program seems easy to me following the downloaded instructions. Took me a while figure out that volume was 20 not 7. Still can't figure out the wah/whammy. I know you need to turn it on and thought 05 in control 1 would work but...

Re: Vypyr Edit software?
It seems to work ok . It is just a very limited editor, since you have the big pedal, you should be fine at storing and editing presets. I think the vip 2 will only access the 16 presets of internal storage while the vip3 allows the max of 400 to be selected live, They both(at least the vip2 which ...

The cable that came with the sanpera is not bidirectional. It will work ether way.barks62 wrote:I never thought of the cable being backwards. But I did try that this morning and the Sanpera still won't power on.
Any other ideas? I'm dying to use my pedal again!!

On my VIP2 the speaker rattles when I turn the volume up high with my bass.chriseffect wrote:the VIP-2 has a 60 watt speaker. I think it would be ok playing guitar at those volumes. Don't know about a bass though.

Re: how hard to push the vypyr vip without damaging
[quoexte="junkerde"]So id like to know how much I can push this amp before (if) it starts getting damaged. Would a constant volume at 5-6 on this amp be damaging to the solid state? can it handle these volumes? Well it wont be on those levels all the time but for band practice, I just want to know i...

Re: Vyper Editing software problem
I think my problem may be in the Vypyr_VIP_Updater3_01.exe - if I need to use that program along with the firmware, I'm in trouble as iMac does not support .exe files from PC's. So now I understand the Mac user's frustration with Peavey's software. I don't know of a updater v3.01 for Mac. Maybe you...

Sorry to be unclear about that.
The viper VIP 1,2 and 3 use the USB cable.

Re: Vyper Editing software problem
You need to have Vypyr Firmware v1.62 installed in your amp. And your amp must be connected to your computer with a usb cable. You also need an guitar or bass plugged into your amp.

So, there are a few things missing from the interface. Things that are obvious to me, but might not be to the person staring at it all day. Where can I post suggestions for the software? Click on Moderators right under (Vypyr Edit Suggestions?). You will get a list of Names (Moderators) that you ca...

Re: Programming Sanpera Pedal
I could be wrong but the Sanpera pedal controls the programing and settings of your amp. This means the settings you don't want are in your Amp, not the Sampera pedal. I have a Sampera I and use it on two amps. No setting are moved from one amp to the other by my pedal.

Re: Is there a way to get at hidden preset banks on VIP2
Yes, save banks A,B,C or D. Next save the bank you want to use (00-99). Give it a file name. Then load that bank to A,B,C or D. You can return to the bank you replaced If you saved it.
