Re: XR800F fader / slider knobs

Slider is p/n 31190123.

Fader Cap is 70902272.

I would call our parts department to confirm.

Re: XR1212 Power Issues

There is no mica or thermal grease on the output devices. These are D2Pak FET's that are soldered directly to the pcb.

Re: peavey xr 8600d No EQ and No Output. BUT...

I would just remove the FET for testing...it's only there to keep the mixer from passing a transient to the amp at turn-on. It won't hurt anything for it to be removed.

Make sure that's the problem before looking for a replacement.

If you email me...I can help with the schematic.

Re: peavey xr 8600d No EQ and No Output. BUT...

The FET's are Q26 and Q27. They are on the mixer pcb. However, the X voltage is generated on the power amp board. The X voltage controls the FET's on/off status.

I don't know much about the speakers...sorry.

Re: peavey xr 8600d No EQ and No Output. BUT...

Yes, it would. What about the monitor channel? If you switch to main/mon mode, does the monitor signal get to the amp? I just realized something else it could be...we use FET's across the last gain stage to keep the op-amps from popping on turn-on/turn-off. If that circuit it broken, the output woul...

Re: peavey xr 8600d No EQ and No Output. BUT...

Did you check the power amp input jacks? The mixer signal is fed through the switch contacts of the jack...sometimes they can oxidize and you will lose signal from the mixer to the amps. Everything else will still work, just as you've described.

Re: Peavey PVXP12 need schematic. Delay in output when turned on

That would be easy enough to verify with a scope probe...but he also mentioned he had changed that IC. Obviously that doesn't rule it out completely, could be a fault in surrounding components, but I would put my money elsewhere.

Re: Peavey PVXP12 need schematic. Delay in output when turned on

Well sure it would, but he said he has a delay before the sound starts. Not no sound...right?

Re: Peavey PVXP12 need schematic. Delay in output when turned on

74HC4060 is the oscillator...probably not your problem.

I would look at the MODE pin, pin 6 on each power amp.

Check across D27, should be 5.6V DC. If it's leaking, the mode pin could be low or slow. I've also seen C18 leak.

Re: Peavey max 208 issues with cutting out

It isn't supposed to cut out with normal operation...even at high volume.

Does the power cut out or does the sound just go away? If the sound just stops, but the power stays on, then I would suspect a damaged speaker. If the speaker is trying to short, the amp would shut off to save itself.

Re: PVI 6500 - Disabling Bluetooth Fade-In

I'm not aware of any fade-in feature...what program/app are you using to play the music?

I just tested one with my iphone (using Spotify), I didn't hear any fading of the signal.
