Re: keep killing sp4 BW and sp118FH low riders

Hell-o Sir; I suspect over excursion. what is your application? Band? edm? how big of an area are you trying to cover? Do you have enough rig for the gig? Good Luck

Re: New to the VSX26

Hell-o sir; The unit will be blank from factory. the presets are on this site. there is a good generic sp2 setting here on the forum that would probally be a good baseline to start and adjust from. I have found that a lot of time the factory preset will need tweeking out in the field. Not major chan...

Re: Dreaded no sound out of Mains 24FX

Hell-o ; I would suggest a trip to a peavey authorized service center. The original fx didnt have enough processing power to operate all you could open up. Always keep an eye on your cpu % Good luck.

Re: Peavey CS4000 or CS4080HZ Power Amps !!!

Hell-o : I don't know of many bass cab's that could handle the 4080hz. a mini mega head is 1000 watts at 4 ohms. cheaper , and a heck of a lot lighter.

Re: Peavey IA10/4

Hello sir; it's a -10 to plus 4 converter. Most dj's need one to get a stronger signal into a pa . They just don't know it. If it is in good shape ( picture appears so ) I recommend keeping it- ya never know  good luck

Re: VSX 26 RUNNING 2

Hell-o sir; if you are deploying that size rig , i would recommend smaart live. i don't know your application - for me thats not enough processing. are you ten per side? 8 per side with 4 front fills? 4 hangs of 5? I would want to pair the boxes with smaart. Good Luck  more info would be help...

Re: vsx48e

Hell-o ; So far i like what i have ran thru. It's very similar to a venue 360. There is a very good generic sp2-218 preset on the forum here somewhere. load the top 2/3rd as a two way bi-amp, the whole thing as a 3 way. So far i like it. thumbs up

Re: IPR-1600: No channel sound

Hello sir; check the little switch on the back at the channel input. should have a full range, hi pass, or sub mode. sounds like your's is possibly in the sub mode. Also check the cables from mixer to that input. could be bad there also. you know by swapping that your speakers and cables are good do...

Re: vsx48e

I was hoping that all this chain rattling would spur semper fi or peavey pro into getting back into this forum. steve has a wealth of experience programming . Don has loads of experience with a vr system, and guys like me have just plain worn Marty's last nerve. Talk about learning to fish- he's bui...

Re: vsx48e

Hello sir; Im not real good with a computer. Ive been inputting the vr settings into my new 48e all morning today. I think you need to have a slightly larger amp on the highs. I would reccommend a cs 3000 or a iprII 3000 or something similar. a cs 3000 is 86 volts on the output. most of the time tha...

Re: vsx48e

Hell-o All; Wanted to give a little update on the vsx48e. So far ive hooked up a sp3-218 and 118 rig , qw2 bi. the gui is working great. I don't foresee making wholesale changes on the fly , but i like being able to monitor the system real time . I'll set up a full vr rig in jan. Rumor has it the di...

Re: Sp4 one speaker cabinet cutting out when turning up the volume

Hell-o sir; Please post what power amp and ga. , length of speaker cables and the rest of the variables in the signal chain. Also did you buy them from an authorized dealer? If you did they may be still under warranty. What type of music are you pushing? how hard are you pushing? Tell us the rest of...

Re: XR 1212 POWERED MIXER PROBLEMS, NEED HELP

Hell-o Sir; Did you purchase this mixer new? If you bought it from an authorized dealer it has a factory warranty. If not there are still repair shop[s that should be willing to undertake the repair. To me a resistor off the board suggests a rough landing of some sort. again thats just my fi...
