Re: Mount an Elements 115C with VM70?

I probably wouldn't. You're right at the edge of the weight limit of the brackets and I don't believe the VM70 and personally, I've found that the VM70 can sometimes be tough to keep in position if you're using it with heavier speakers. With the winds we have in my area, I can't imagine they'd hold ...

Take it to your local auto parts store. They're 12v lightbulbs, that is, if they're the ones I think you're describing.

Re: Availability of impulse 1015 8 ojm

I just got off the line with Peavey. They are currently out of stock but are expecting the new production line to be here at the end of summer.

Re: Availability of impulse 1015 8 ojm

I think your dealer is giving you a runaround. I'm a dealer and I've never had the factory not respond to any phone call, even if the news is bad news. I can tell you that the Impulse line is being re-worked so there might not be any in stock as they change the model. I'll call this morning and see ...

Re: Minimum power for PV115 speakers

There really isn't much of a good answer. The minimum power to run these would probably be about 1/2 a watt. They'll be really, really, really quiet, but they'll run. :D For a usable minimum there are a few factors to consider, mainly how big of an audience you're playing to and what kind of music y...

Might be a stupid question, but do you have the USB RETURN MAIN button depressed? (Assuming you want to hear your USB playback through the MAIN outputs.

Re: Using An IPR2 3000 to Power a Bass Amp

I apologize in advance for this question since I'm 58 years old and have been playing bass since I was 14 (you'd think I'd know something by now).... I recently acquired a brand new Peavey IPR2 3000 to power a bass preamp. My bass cabs will be a 2 ohm load total (two 8 ohm Aguilar SL 112's and one ...

Re: Upgrade to PV115 speakers

It's most likely not the right parameters for that cabinet but more importantly, you won't really see any performance increase from it either. You're still stuck with the same crossover and high frequency driver.

Re: Versarray Pro system

I noticed a noise gate listed in the spec sheet. Can this be bypassed? Also can these be used as a single or double speaker on a stick setup? Thanks. Doug To really take advantage of the array effect, three tops per side is the minimum most manufacturers recommend. If your gig is small enough that ...

Re: Versarray Pro system

We'll see, Don. They've just got so much catching up to do and there are so many others that have extremely established dominance in that market. Like the aforementioned iPad mixer, Peavey is behind other manufacturers on this by about a decade.

Re: Stacking SP2 over BW118 with speaker pole.

Take note: There are three (that I know of) designs of pole inserts on subwoofers. 1. Just a cup, much like what is on the bottom of most speakers. (The worst design.) 2. The pass-thru where the pole goes through a hole in the top of the sub and inserts into fitting on the bottom and inside the sub....

It will be interesting to see when it actually comes out. IIRC, their iPad mixer was shown about a year and a half ago and still isn't in production.
