Re: Mixing PVXP 12s & 15s
Thank you for your feedback gents! The reason for more speakers is for doing outside shows for our rock/cover band. The goal is to push sound farther in an open/outside area. We played outside last weekend and had to push them quite hard. Nothing over the top extreme, but had the volume set at abou...

Re: Mixing PVXP 12s & 15s
First question: Why do you want more speakers? If it's for a delay set or to get really wide coverage, go for it but.....12's will be fine for delays (not likely to interact with the 15's since they're far away), 15's for wider coverage (and the most versatile because you could use them for wider or...

Re: Sp2 "P" powered speakers
Peavey's pro audio department appears to be mostly dead. Way behind the curve on powered cabinets, nothing really new in mixers except their iPad mixer which they're way behind the curve with. Nothing really new in power amps for almost a decade. Go to the pro audio portion of this forum and 95% of ...

Re: HELP! Need in ears/packs and compatible phone app
Our church recently purchased a Peavey FX2 24 digital mixer. We are looking for AFFORDABLE ears, packs and smart phone app compatible with this mixer. Any help is greatly appreciated! I have no idea what you mean by a "smart phone app" for this mixer. This isn't a digital mixer like others where yo...

Re: Peavey GPS 2600 series amp 60 hz hum when any EQ is put inline between mixer and amp using balanced cables
Ok everyone, I found the issue. We use 2 of the Peavey GPS 2600 for our church PA both are wired 2 channel and are not bridged. The first amp powers our 2 FOH A/C speaker array that hangs above and slightly in front of our pulpit and We use 1 channel for each side. with the Input to that amp coming...

Is it just an EQ that causes the problem? What happens when you connect straight to a mixer?

Re: mini monitors
I just acquired a set of Peavey mini monitors to use in light-duty, indoors situations. I'm getting too old to carry around my SP-12M's unless it's really necessary. Anybody know how much power these little dolls can safely handle? And what would be a good cutoff point for low frequencies? Thanks f...

Re: Connecting xr 8300 to an xr 600 f
Go from the MAIN OUT on the front of the XR8300 with a guitar cable into the POWER AMP 1 IN on the XR600F. Run two pair of speakers out the back of the XR8300 and one pair out of the power amp 1 on the XR600F. Now, all this said, if you do this, it will probably be loud but sound like a dog turd. Yo...

Re: Peavy 10AT audio issues! Plz help!
Hey guy I’m a newbie 😞. I am using a PV 10AT mixer, also utilizing PT 11 as a daw. Computer is a imac. I have a few questions any help would be awesome. Question 1: how do I get the audio from the mixer to register in pro tools? I have the main outputs going from my mixer to my 18i20 interface inpu...

Re: PEAVEY IPR2 5000
It's obvious your dealer isn't getting it fixed. Send it to Peavey directly and have them check it out. The second generation IPR's have proven to be pretty solid, in my experience. Me? I DO NOT miss the "good 'ol days" and my back really doesn't miss them. These days I show up with 300lbs of ...

What he said. 2 ohm loading is almost never a good idea.

Re: Baseball Diamond PA System / Speaker Question
Sorry, but the Stadia speakers will be barely adequate, but you may be alright. These are actually equipped with a 70v transformer and that is the option I would use with them. Get something like the Crown CDi1000 amplifier and set the speakers transformer to it's max setting at 70v, 50 watts. Arran...

Re: Anyone use cm1 live?
I've used them live. They're good as long as you watch your monitor levels and can eq a bit. They pretty hot in the 1k range and do have a pronounced proximity effect in the low end, as I recall, but a good mic. I've pretty much switched all my mics to Sennheiser e935's, but sometimes if I'm working...

Re: Which Peavey Speakers pair with XR-AT
The Elements series are good speakers, but they're really designed for installation. They don't have any stand mounts but do have suspension hardware. From a power standpoint, Colliedog is correct, the PVX series will be just fine. In fact, that combo was my rental system from several years before I...

Re: XR-AT power issue
If it only happens at one place, it's a problem with that place's power. Try a different outlet/circuit at the venue.
A $50-80 Furman won't do you any good, most likely. You might find help with an expensive conditioner, but I wouldn't bank on it.
