Re: Invective combo???
I saw the website got updated. Visually it looks much better and now there is video links. Signs of life on the website. The '92 Original 5150 is calling my name.

Re: Invective combo???
That's one reason I like the invective so much I guess. It's not completely just another 5150. They may have started with a block letter but it clearly evolved. Yet they hardly promote it at Peavey. It's like clear down at the bottom on their web page.(the page severely needs updated) On their Youtu...

Re: Invective mh sounds terrible
Hinton10 on my invective 120 I run the resonance at 3:00 and bass at 1:00. Massive but punchy low end for days. What's your resonance and bass settings? Maybe try the aforementioned settings see if it helps.

Invective combo???
I saw an old post on FB, if I recall correctly, from John Fields that an invective combo was being considered for production. What's the likelihood that will still happen? Anybody heard anything?

Re: Peavey Invective Reviews
Newish to the forum and way late here, but... 1) Almost 2 years 2) No problem whatsoever 3) Can't choose one...(Onboard boosts, Noise Gate, Smooth knob tapers when compared to 5150/6505, MSDI, Master Boost, Rear mounted 9Vs, Dual effects Loops, Output Transformer is a downright BEAST!) 4) Yes. Sound...

Re: Invective or 6595?
I also would highly recommend the Invective. It replaced everything my 6505 did. In fact every other one of my amps is a let down to play now. And to my ear the crunch and lead channels seem engineered for maximum mid presence in a mix when compared to my 6505. And all I need for a gig is my Eventid...

Re: Peavey Invective 120W clean channel problem
I believe the bass knob on the Invective clean is VERY powerful. Perhaps keep it at 3 or under.
I run my clean channel- Bass 2.5, Mid 4, Treble 6.5, Gain 4, Post 5, (BOOST SECTION) Drive 5, Tone 5
Sounds very chimney yet full.
Give it a try!

Invective Master Boost
I know not many own this amp, but I just wanted to share my experience with the master boost. My opinion is leave it on all the time and turn it to 10. I really like a bit of fizz and sizzle so I also keep the channel volumes halfway. Hope this helps someone. Feel free to tell me about how you run y...

Re: Peavey Invective MH Footswitch Question
Is the line 6 HX capable of sending/returning midi commands? If so I see no reason this wouldn't work. Might take some deeper midi programming than I am familiar with. But the Invective controller is just a midi controller. Side note if you do decide to go with the Invective...id highly recommend th...

Re: Peavey Invective Crackle and Noise
I'm no amp tech first of all but I wonder...is this noise in the crunch and lead channels? The lead channel even with gain at 3 is already pretty noisey. Just kind of derivative of a monster high gain amp. All in the 5150 lineage have it. If the clean channel lacks hiss especially that would be my t...
