But that's the cable the amp wants to see. Make sure you have the channel select button on the pressed "in" position. Everything else is going to be a matter of programming the Helix.

Re: Production times of MH's
There was only one version of the Valveking. There are second "versions" of the 6505 MH and the Classic 20 MH but the changes I believe are just cosmetic, so not really MKIIs.

Re: Vypyr Amp Humming Issue
First thing to do would be a factory reset.
If that does nothing, open it up, there's some fuses inside. Check if those are ok.
Other than that, send it to a Peavey Repair Center, unless you know someone who's good with electronics and can check and replace components.

I'd start by spraying contact clean like crazy all over the insides of the thing and every pot.

Re: Need help with Peavey Classic 30
The crackling could be the power tubes. With tubes amps the first thing to look into is tubes, usually power tubes are the issue, bit preamp tubes also go bad over time.

No one knows these answers. If you like how it sounds, plug the Vypyr into your computer and use it that way.

Yup, that's how it works. Now why you'd want to use a solid state power section instead of tubes, I don't know.

Re: Information about Peavey guitar amplifiers
Your should be able to find the manual with specs on the Peavey site. For everything else, I'd say post at least a picture of the thing.

Re: older classic 30 preamp tubes not glowing but amp works
Depending on the tube design, the glow may not be visible with preamp tubes. They should warm up though, so it's odd that they don't, yet everything sounds fine.
