Re: Identifying Amp

Take a look at this pdf of a STUDIO PRO™ Operating Guide from Peavey's Archived Manuals:
https://assets.peavey.com/literature/ma ... 349042.pdf

Maybe it will help. :-)

Re: StudioPro 112, Transtube, run on batteries

You could try an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). However a UPS is designed to keep line voltage AC power flowing to active devices during power failures. Usually for a few minutes while power is being restored. I have two of these https://www.amazon.com/APC-Battery-Protector-Back-UPS-BE600M1/dp/...

Re: Falcon Age?

Well, you could try the Peavey Serial Number Lookup. It's the very first link on the Guitars page. It's at the top of the page.

Result from pasting your number in:
"Your product was produced in 1987"

Nice looking bass you have there! Here is a link to the owner's manual in Peavey's online archive: https://assets.peavey.com/literature/manuals/80301450.pdf The "Controls" section on page 3 explains how the controls should work. The behaviors you describe for the Blend and Tone controls match the de...

Never mind... turned out to be something stupid. Just unplugging it from a power strip and straight into the wall changed everything.
Slightly embarrassing, but great! Now you don't have to fix anything. Enjoy.

Re: Valve King crackling: which Deoxit for knobs & switch cleaning?

According to CAIG Laboratories' " When do I use DeoxIT® vs DeoxIT® Gold, DeoxIT® Shield or DeoxIT® Fader? " page ( http://store.caig.com/s.nl/it.I/id.5/.f ), DeoxIT® D-Series is what you need. It is the version with cleaning action. The other versions have almost no cleaning action or none at all. A...

Re: Trolley to move speakers around

I use a 2-wheel hand-truck like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/HARPER-600-lbs-Capacity-Loop-Handle-Hand-Truck-BKTAK19/202259413 The trolley you posted would require you to lift the sub and place it on the frame. With a 2-wheel hand truck, you don't have to lift up the sub, just slide the base pl...

According to the T-27 Owner's Manual (https://assets.peavey.com/literature/manuals/80370333.pdf) they are "finished with our special polyester-urethane material in a natural finish or one or our optional custom colors." My experience in using clear polyurethane finishes is that they do tend to darke...

Re: Remove 112-6 back panel

I suggest a hand impact driver . You put it in the screw, hold the handle part of the driver to keep it from turning, and hit the end with a hammer. The mechanism inside the handle translates the downward force to rotation. The downward force also keeps the screwdriver bit from backing out of the sc...
