Re: USA Predator and Raptor

I love Predators so much that I own three. Two are completely stock (and I'll always keep them that way) and the third one came with Wilkinson locking tuners, Fender Noiseless pickups in the neck and middle positions and Duncan Cool Rails in the bridge position.I don't know who built the last one, b...

Re: New Appreciation for Super Ferrite Pickups

I've had a T-15 with Super Ferrite pickups for about 10 years now. After my divorce, I had to sell off most of my guitars, including two Patriots, but I couldn't let that T-15 go. Those pickups are some of my favorites, period.

Re: ValveKing 112

Congratulations on a good find. I have a VK 112 and bought one for my brother last Christmas. If I could only have one amp, it would either be this or my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. I think you're going to enjoy playing through this one. I added a BBE sonic maximizer in the effects loop and it really enh...

Re: Sustainite prototype T25?

If that's a T-25 body, then it's nothing at all like the stock one I have. Looking at the holes, it appears that your body is set up for a wrap-around bridge, a pickup selector switch and two volume and two tone controls. The contours on the surface don't make it look like a T-25 pick guard would fi...

Did you put this in the effect loop?

Very nice! I haven't seen one in black like that. I have a sunburst with the maple fretboard and love it. Enjoy your beauty!

Very nice! I'm always on the look out for one of those or a T-27. They're about as scarce as hen's teeth.

Re: Peavey..Defender????

Wow, thanks a lot for showing those. I also thought I was reasonably knowledgeable about Peavey models, but I had never heard of either of these guitars. Does it say in the catalog whether these were USA-made?

Re: Peavey Classic 30 Price

FWIW, I recently picked up a used Classic 30 with the black Tolex off Craigslist for $130. There were some dings in the Tolex, but otherwise the amp is in great condition.

Re: 00000002 on ebay!!!

Something strange here. The front page cover photo for T60mafia.com shows Hartley's #00000001 and Chip Todd's #00000002 T-60's. The one on eBay looks nothing like Chip's T-60, and the description says it's an alder body. According to the picture on T60mafia, both Hartley's and Chip's T-60's were spe...

Re: Peavey C30 speaker outs

Wow, that's way easier than I had thought. I even happen to have just the jack and wire I'll need laying in a drawer. Are there any recommendations for 8 ohm replacement speakers for the C30? Thanks for the quick answer!

Re: Peavey C30 speaker outs

Is there a safe way to replace the stock internal speaker with an 8 ohm one and drive it with the 8 ohm tap on the output transformer? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but it seems like this would get the sound we're after without having to add a second cab. I'm kind of space limited, so if I could...

Will this be OK with a VK 112?

For the foreseeable future, I'm going to be space-limited to one combo amp. I really love my VK 112, so that's what going to stay. I also have an Egnater Tweaker 15 head that I also really like. According to the manual, using the external speaker jack on the VK 112 disconnects the internal speaker. ...

Re: Hello back with a USA Peavey Bass again

Congratulations on your Foundation. I picked one up on Craigslist a few months ago and really love it. It's the perfect sonic complement to my Fender P-bass.
