Peavey Valveking II 50 W speaker resistence selector
Does anyone know if the speaker resistance selector on the back of the Valveking II allows one to switch to an 8 ohm speaker from the 16 ohm that is in there now? It seems that it should but I just wanted to make sure before I made a speaker change to an 8 ohm one.

Boy Enzo is really going to be missed around here. He gave useful, factual information selflessly for many years. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP Enzo.

Re: Should I buy this Classic 30
I think I am going to pass. I have a perfectly working Valveking II which I realize is not in the same class as the Classic 30 but I really don't want to deal with headaches. Thanks for your replies.

Should I buy this Classic 30
I have a chance to purchase a 5 year old Classic 30 from the original owner. It has only been gigged once. The owner tells me it had to have all power tubes replaced because somehow a fuse blew. Now he tells me that the LED power light isn't on but the amp works fine. He has all receipts. Should I p...

Re: Valveking MKII 50W Reverb/Footswitch problem
My Peavey footswitch on this particular amp only controls gain and normal channels. I have not been able to get it to control reverb.

Re: Biasing Valveking II 50 w
Alright Enzo thanks. I just wasn't sure the suggested method was accurate enough...it just seems too easy as compared to other amps I have.

Biasing Valveking II 50 w
Hello all, I was going to check the bias on this particular amp and the info I have found is that you adjust the trim pot so that the TSI indicator LED's go from back red to green. Adjust the bias so it goes a little past green. Is anyone aware of some some values the bias can be set at? The method ...

Re: Vipyr VIP 1 volume problems
Thanks for the reply. I sprayed Deoxit on everything except I forgot to do the headphone jack as it is controlled by the volume and guess what...it seemed to work. Hopefully problem solved.

Vipyr VIP 1 volume problems
Hello all,
The volume in my amp will suddenly increase after a few minutes of playing then go down again. I have tried spraying deoxit in the rotary portion of all knobs but no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have the same whine in my Vypyr VIP 1 as well. Have you found a solution?

Re: Valve King II
Just one other thing. I find OD pedals sound better outside the chain than in the loop. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Valve King II
I have this particular amp. Great clean channel but dirty channel a little too harsh for my tastes. It does take pedals well. I feel the price on the used market for this amp is really incredible. I recently bought a Marshall40 DSL amp used because it was a great price. The Marshall does not have as...

Re: VK II Dead?
This really is a damn shame. I love my VKII 50watts and for the money nothing comes close. I guess there are too many choices for amps today but not enough players take the time to try and dial in the sound they need.
