Re: Source for Dyna-bass control knobs with rubber grip and EQ knobs?
Somewhere along the way my '86 Dyna-Bass lost a rubber ring and two of my EQ knobs. I see a couple on Ebay but at crazy prices. Anyone have a source? Thanks Can't help with the EQ knobs though gut feeling is they came from the amp factory. You can get replacement bands from this fella. https://repr...

Re: Zodiac BXP tuners
Hi one and all, I have a Peavey Zodiac BXP and I am thinking of upgrading the tuners, with the intention to save some weight. Can anyone tell me what size tuners I should be looking for? 1/2" or 3/8" ? Any and all advice appreciated. Zodiac basses were made in Korea and China so use metric hardware...

Re: Peavey Cirrus USA Truss rod covers
I checked with Peavey and they are out of truss rod cover for the Cirrus. Does any one have any leads for where we can get those? I scanned the TR cover from my Tiger Eye custom. Print the image out at 100%, tape to some PG material then cut out the shape and drill the mounting holes. https://imgur...

Re: Looking For USA Grind 5
I know they're super rare, but if anyone has a USA Grind 5 they want to part with, I'd be interested in purchasing it. Possibly the JJ BXP Grind 5 as well. I'm brand new here, but I've been on talkbass for like 20 years with good feedback as a buyer/seller. Since I'm in Scotland logistics rule out ...

Re: Bring back the Cirrus!
The Cirrus is expected to appear again this October. Production is being handled by NBE.Corp in the Czech Republic, makes sense as they already build the HP-2 guitars. As well as Peavey, NBE also build for NS Design, Spector, Esh and Clover. Examples at NAMM showed no changes from the standard spec ...

Re: Koa Dyna Bass Unity Series
Good readers, I recently purchased a used 1989 koa Dyna Bass Unity Series that is factory fretless. Anyone here have one? I had one, not a factory fretless though; never knew they did those. Sold to an American fella either last year or the one before, would post a photo but all I get are HTTP erro...

Re: Liberator J-84 bass
Had never heard of it, or had never paid attention since it was a signature line and they tend to be pricey. It never a signature bass. Liberators were aimed at Duran Duran memorabilia collectors and to boost the profile of the clothing line run by John's wife, Juicy Couture. Only store to sell the...

Re: What model is this bass?
More likely somebody bought a TL-5 husk, plenty were sold off in factory clearance auction. Populated it with other parts from the auction, at least 3 people saw the auction as a parts business start up opportunity, then finished it.

Re: What model is this bass?
I bought this bass and wonder what model it could be. I suspect a TL-5 2nd generation from 1994, but I'm not sure. Neither the electronics nor the finish seem to have ever been produced by Peavey like this. Bass, treble, volume us pickup blender. Thanks for your advice! While it certainly has a 2nd...

A- This final version of the Foundation went into production 2000, discontinued 2002.
B- Body is poplar.
C/D. Send a photo of the original tuners to Amber, browneyedgirlsales on Reverb. Amber bought several pallets of hardware from the Peavey factory clear out.

Re: Advice on the trussrod
Hi Andrew7
It's a metric truss rod accepting a 4mm allen key, pretty standard item.
With me in Scotland and no idea where you're located there's little point in me posting stockist links but metric TR is what you're looking for.

Re: Peavey DYNA 5 String wiring needs to be redone. Need help finding wiring kit.
The Dynabass came in 2 versions, 4 & 5 pot. You mentioning an 'active' switch means it's the earlier 5 pot version. The active switch flits between 3 band EQ or just the passive tone pot, it's a simple signal switch. Low-ish DCR of the Super Ferrites is down to materials. Given the name, Ferrites, i...

Re: Identification? 5 String bass
That’s an excellent collection. Thanks. I 'm not surprised some look familiar, had one from nearly every model released between 1978 and 2010. For some strange reason Forums always eluded me, I've the active single pickup version from 94 but not the PJ, Forum AX or Forum Plus. The collection was pr...

Re: Identification? 5 String bass
Thanks for the Clarifications! I did not remember the Zephyr bass. But being from the USA, I may never have know about it. Great Collection! Aye , us Europeans saw more Peavey models than folks in the USA. Along with the Zephyr/ C-series, we had passive quilt top versions of the Fury 4 to 6 and eve...
