Re: Falcon Age?

Serial numbers Serial numbers correlate to shipping dates of US models only. 1978 to 1995. Imports designated by EX, EXP, or BXP are not serialized by year. 8Mxxxxxx ............................................1978 0000xxxx t/m 0030xxxx ........................1978 0031xxxx t/m 0047xxxx ...............

Re: Valve King 112: I think I need a new tube?

the white tube lost vacuum. its done. Youll need a new pair and id have the amp biased and looked at so see if something caused the failure of that tube or did it just fail. They do and newer tubes seem to be more fragile glass wise

Re: Is my T60 a rarity

Condition is more rare than color. Many have been "modded" refinned or parted out . Some just plain trashed.

Congrats on a beautiful treasure!

Re: Peavey Pickups Designed by Bill Lawrence?

AFAIK, Peavey made pickups in house until the "Crafted in USA" stuff like the Predator and Reactor. Those were import. Dont know if BL ever had any input. The T60 "The Circuit" was designed by Red Roades. The Super Ferrites (T60, etc) were wound in house as Hartley and Chip had their own way of wind...

Re: Peavey Falcon

88 would have been the original series. The original Falcon had a maple board and the Kahler with the post nut locking unit. The Falcon Custom had a rosewood board, (flatter radius) and on solid colors, usually a matching headstock. The Falcon Classic had a vintage 4 screw trem (powerbend) and not t...

Re: Falcon vs. Predator Ax

While they are fine guitars, the Predators were pricepoint guitars. Most were "crafted in usa" meaning USA neck and import everything else. all assembled in meridian. Falcons were all USA and as good/better than anything the "other" company made as far as production guitars go. Most Predators have T...

Re: new peavey prowler

John Fields 1st tube amp design for Peavey. The clean channel is based off a 68 Deluxe reverb john had as a kid. Only one side of the OT was working correctly and it gave a cool glassy quality to the clean channel. Its my fave clean peavey tube amp. I run that and a classic 30 together and the sound...
