Re: Transformer 2x12 pfc4 pedal not working
The problem can either be the footswitch itself, the cable, or the amp. In your case, it seems like it could be the amp - more specifically the 8-pin jack. The contacts could be dirty or corroded. Or the solder joints on the PCB failing. Does anything work? Even if you see no LEDs light up, do the f...

Re: Tube Fex
The internal motorpot is only for the TB "effect" block (the tube preamp). You can go to just about any preset and replace TB with DS (digital distortion) and see if that makes the unit work (as a test). If taking TB out of the preset makes the unit work, then the motorpot might be the only issue. I...

Re: Stereo Digital Reverb Pedal?
There was a series of pedals in the late 80s / early 90s, and a reverb was part of the lineup: https://reverb.com/item/98263-peavey-digital-stereo-reverb-srp-16-1980-s-white There was also a pedal in the mid-90s called a DeltaStomp, which was basically a DeltaFex in a pedal with a few different effe...

Re: Vypyr Pro 12 String
That 12-string sound is coming from the AT-200 guitar. He was demoing it as a system. The Vypyr Pro's MIDI out sends a program change to the guitar when you change amp presets. It can be any preset number you want to send - not automatically the same number the amp is on. You can quickly get differe...

That is correct. It's a solid-state power amp so you can run it without a load. You can use the send into an amp like you said, or just use the headphone jack.

Possibly. Never thought about it. But they did come that way. See page 13 here:

Re: More Transformer 112/212 amp questions...
We didn't bend the pins on those parts. They are surface-mount and are made that way. It is a little weird and most chips these days that are trying to save space are BGA (ball grid array). I don't remember what they called that style of chip, but apparently our solder process for that chip could ha...

Re: Peavey Transfex pro 212 head
A factory re-init is something to try. You lose any custom presets and global settings, but if the owner doesn't mind (and it's working that poorly....) If you want to try it, hold DOWN and RIGHT arrow buttons while powering up. The display should confirm the re-init. If the problem is just low batt...

Re: Question for Transformer users...
The 212 has a real headphone circuit, with a sim circuit to give you the amp's tone into headphones (or full range). The 112 was designed earlier and does not have that circuit.
The 4-50 ohm load is not for the Transformer itself, it's for the MSDI to sound correct it NOT loaded by the speaker.

Re: Question for Transformer users...
The 112 headphone jack was just the power amp output, padded down with a little high-cut filtering. But not enough filtering to sound nearly correct. So I found it to be much more useful as an external speaker jack - that still cuts the internal speaker. This allows the amp to be used as a head very...

Re: Windsor Studio Reverb
Is it possible - since the new tubes are not identical - that the order I placed them into the chassi is wrong? Hmmm. The order will surely affect the tone, but the amp should still work either way. I think either a tube is bad, or got plugged in wrong. I was thinking the old tubes could rule out a...

Re: Question for Transformer users...
The cabinet models are meant to change the 1x12 speaker into the tone of another cabinet. It doesn't provide the tone of that cabinet into a full-range (i.e. headphone) signal. An inline MSDI would do that (with speaker or 4-50 ohm dummy load). To do at a line level, something like a Carl Martin Roc...

The preamp is not working. Try the old tubes to see if one of the new ones is bad.

Re: Question for Transformer users...
The 50-ohm load was to get the XLR to sound more correct without a speaker load (50-ohms much better than nothing). It still doesn't really give you a headphone out unless you run the XLR to something that will drive headphones.
