Re: SP 4P speakers
What does the dealer say? Perhaps since they are local, you can take your setup to them and they could help to determine the cause.

Re: Gig Pics Sticky
Did my first big outdoor show about a month ago. Used 2 VR-218's, 2 QW118's, and 2 QW2's per side. Wish I had matching amp racks, but they're close. Top QW2's are inverted to couple the horns. Covered a lot of bikes, I will attach a photo at the other end of the parking lot (which you could hear cle...

Re: power draw from CS 4080 HZ?
I believe you mean 60 hz and 50 hz, in reference to the cycles per second of alternating current (AC).CS-800lover wrote:Voltages are different in the USA because the grid operates at 80 kHz to the 50 kHz 240 volts.

Re: CS 400 amp fan replacement ? ?
It's better to have the fan exuast than intake . Certain manufactures have their cooling fans setup differently. Some have the airflow setup to draw cool air in from the front of the amp and exhaust hot air out the back, others do just the opposite, and draw the cool air from the back to and exhaus...

Re: Testing speaker connection with a battery.
Josjor had posted about a free app a while ago that has a sine wave generator in it, as well as a pink noise generator and a few others. (I'll see if I can dig up that link) On my Android smartphone, it is listed as SoundForm Signal Generator, deveolped by jjbunn. It seems to work well enough for a ...

Re: Shameless Plug about Available Peavey QW System
Funny, I shared this link for you the other day in the club Peavey section. I saw it on ebay and thought perhaps someone on here might be interested.
Not important to the situation, but out of curiosity, are you upgrading? I only ask as it looks like a sweet system.

I haven't looked into the Presonus that closely. I didn't know they offered SMAART software in their package. I'll definitely have to dig a little more. Thanks for the info.

Re: reference mic/interface choices for RTA's?
I'm referring to a PreSonus AudioBox iTwo interface to hook up to a laptop. Is that what you use too, or are you referring to your StudioLive mixer. I would really like one of those, but that's not in the budget yet. Just wanting to clarify.Josjor wrote:I use SMAART on my Presonus all the time.

Re: reference mic/interface choices for RTA's?
I found a demo DBX reference mic at Sweetwater for $90 so I'm going to give it a try. Not sure about the interface yet. I'm going to try my buddies PreSonus before I buy one.
Thanks for sharing Dookie.

reference mic/interface choices for RTA's?
I've seen a fair amount of threads that mention using Smaart and reference mic's. As someone who is pricing out options, I'm just curious what does everyone use for a reference mic and interface? I've been looking at the Presonus AudioBox iTwo as an interface, for around $150. They also have a refer...

Re: Do I have the correct QW2 15" woofers...???
Having done a little more looking on the forum, I found at least one other article regarding the switching from 4th order to 8th order. So I realize it has to do with the source material rather than the operator. About the second part of my question regarding the output of the mixers, any insight in...

Re: What can you do......
Thanks for sharing Bob. It's always fun to read about different gigs and setups. So many times on the forums it's about problems and questions, which are fine. But posts like this are a refreshing change from the "norm."
