I own a Nanovypyr. On std batteries it plays for 20 minutes. Alkaline, about 35 -45. Not particularly good performance. Not much in the volume dept either. Never should have sold the old Solo. Batteries lasted for YEARS!

Light show can be turned off. Just boot up time for the amp. Mesmerizes the audience! lol Read it in the manual.

Emu. More bumps that Ostrich. No Emu's were harmed in the making of this amp! I would've use the the one in the commercial. Peckish critter!

Vypyr Tube 60 from combo to head and speaker set up. Sounds killer. Shout out to Gary Madore in the Great North for a set of harvested corners that helped finish this baby out.

Sounds like you have found the resonant frequency of the head. Put a towel under it or something.

Re: Ageing of Series 1 Vypyr 30
UPDATE; The green unit may not be bad. I hooked up a nearly new 30 watter and got the same background noises. I swapped out jack boxes, went direct, etc, tried different outlets in the room. Bottom line is the vypyrs are picking up something in the line and it is producing the background noise. All ...

SIP and the TUBE 60
So we've been under house arrest for about 3 weeks now, and I have been doing woodworking and other stuff to keep busy while we Shelter in place. Yesterday I felt like really playing for the first time since it staqrted, and I plugged into the Tube 60 with a P-90 hybrid Jazzmaster I have. Put on the...

Re: Ageing of Series 1 Vypyr 30
Deterioration of the amp has rendered it toast. It works for a moment, then loses about 1/3 its volume and background noises get into the mix. Too bad, I really had this one set up just the way it sounded best on the few settings I use regularly in the studio. Great amps for recording without a mic,...

How do they sound? After break in, should improve even more. They used to come with no label, but still sounded good. Dont fret, rock out.

Re: Connecting VYPR 100 to PA System
You can use your headphones out jack to the PA. If you want to hear the amp at the same time, pull the plug out of the jack slightly. You will hear the amp AND the signal will be going to the PA.

Ageing of Series 1 Vypyr 30
My go to jammer for more than a decade, I picked up this 30w Series 1 Vypyr used for about $120 in '08. I play it nearly every day in my studio, and it is used mostly for recording these days. I noticed a couple of months ago when cold it made staticy, crackling noises, like a tube amp would if a po...

Dont avoid the obvious while seeking a "solution". Dont overthink it. It was the cable. Usually is. I've had 5 over the years.
