Re: Escort 5000 USB Input error

The USB functionality on the Escort 5000 is designed to playback audio files from a USB thumb drive, not connect to a smartphone. To play audio from a smartphone you'll have to get the headphone adapter and connect to the 3.5mm or RCA connectors.

Re: Pv 6 Bluetooth

The switch is momentary, so it doesn't "click". Press and hold the switch for a second or two and you should see the blue LED indicate that the Bluetooth has turned on.

Re: Bluetooth Quality

Hi kenwall, First, let me clarify that the mixers Peavey offers that have Bluetooth are receivers, not transmitters. So you would stream audio via from a Bluetooth device (smartphone, computer, etc.) to the mixer, not audio from the mixer to a Bluetooth speaker. The audio would then go from the main...

Re: Pv 6 Bluetooth

The PV 6 BT remembers the last device it was connected to for ease of use. So as soon as you turn on the Bluetooth, it tries to connect to the last device it was connected to. If the mixer sees that device when you turn the Bluetooth on, it will automatically connect. If you're not wanting it to con...

Re: pv 10 at

The PV10AT is a Generic Class Compliant USB Audio device, meaning there are no special drivers or settings internal to the PV10AT to use it with any computer. Since playback to the PV10AT is working, I can fairly confidently say there is nothing wrong with the mixer. My guess is there is either some...

Re: PV BT10 Question

I'm sorry to say that still will not work. Smartphones and the apps on them are not designed to receive audio via Bluetooth, they are designed to transmit. Other products, like sound bars, headphones, or the PV 10 BT, are designed to receive audio via Bluetooth. Sorry, I guess I should've mentioned ...

Re: PV BT10 Question

Hi, Yes to #1. To connect to your computer, use the USB B connector on the backside of the mixer. Use the USB A connector on the top of the mixer for playback from a USB drive. No to #2. The Bluetooth audio is unidirectional, allowing you to stream audio from your Bluetooth device to your PV 10 BT, ...

Re: fx32 mixer usb recording

The FX mixers were released around 13 years ago. There is limited CPU power on that product, so the mixer limits how much you can use. I am guessing that there are digital effects being used and there is not enough remaining CPU power to handle USB recording. The new generation, the FX2 mixer, was r...

Re: Autograph

Hi jeffbenfrank, Unfortunately I'm not sure if there's a great way to utilize the built in power amp in your Yamaha mixer while using the Autograph. You would go out of the MONO OUT of your mixer into the input of the Autograph, but unfortunately there's not a power amp input on that mixer for the o...

Re: PV14AT / MONO & Mounting

Hey Marc, There's actually a STEREO/MONO switch on the PV14 AT that sums to mono for you. Just make sure when you switch that to MONO that you still have both the L and R master faders up (the master fader still affects the level of each buss pre-summing). So flip that switch to MONO, keep both mast...

Re: Fx 16 routing

There are a bunch of Aux busses on the FX mixer, you can just keep using an Aux bus everytime you need another monitor channel. So: - LR main output to graphic EQ to power amp for main PA - Aux 1 output to power amp for monitor wedges - Aux 2 output to in-ear monitor transmitter The Aux busses are p...

Re: Fx 16 routing

Hi Tony_Yensid, Is having a 31-band graphic EQ for your in-ear monitor mix that important? I could see it being important if you were using wedges for monitors to help eliminate feedback, but that's not an issue if you're using in-ear monitors. I would just run your LR main mix to the 2 channels on ...

Re: PVi 8500

It sounds like what you need are some DI boxes, which are meant to take an unbalanced, high-impedance signal (i.e. guitar) and convert it to a balanced, low-impedance signal. Nowadays DI boxes have a lot more features than that, such as a ground lift switch, which might help with your hum. I'd say m...

Re: PVi 8500

1/4" connections are probably mostly used with guitars, which are high impedance, yes. But not all 1/4" connections are high impedance. Inputs 1-6 accept mic level and line level connections, which is why they have the combo XLR/1/4" connectors. Line level connections are typically 1/4" connections,...

Re: PVi 8500

Hi John,

Where did you see that the 8 inputs on a PVi 8500 can accept low or high impedance? In the manual it states that the Mic/Line inputs (1-6) are for low-impedance connections and that the Mic/Hi-Z input (7) is for high impedance.
