Re: Is Peavey 6505+ footswitch ok for Triple XXX?

The 6505+ footswitch likely does not work for the Triple XXX. If it does, the button labels will be wrong. You can find the pin outs at the link below and see why. If it was me, I would return the 6505+ footswitch for a Triple XXX/JSX/3120/Triple XXX II footswitch which is known to work and the butt...

Re: MSDI vs EDI

I was just curious if these 2 units are the same. I had just picked up a used EDI, and have been interested the the MSDI found in the JSX cab and the 6505MH head. Thanks Is your EDI an active (powered) DI box? A DI is usually designed to get an instrument's signal to a mixer or recording equipment,...

Re: Is it possible to turn off presets?

I looks like you have tried all the tips in How to Get a Clean Patch and it still is not clean enough for you.

I do not know if your Zoom has amp models and cabinet sims but can you connect your Zoom G1X4 to the Vypyr's Auxiliary Input and just use the Vypyr as a power amp?

Re: Please help! Signal bleed at zero volume - Classic 30

After a lot of testing I’m starting to think that the PCB has become conductive. I wonder if there’s any chance Peavey has Classic 30 MkI boards that they can sell... I might be screwed. I doubt Peavey would have the original Classic 30 boards, but it won't hurt to call them and ask. I know others ...

Re: Valveking II 50watts combo schematics

Hi, need schematics for this amp. The F2 fuse keeps blown and I cannot find schematics for this amp. Thanks I have seen the VK II 20 and 100 schematics here on the forum, but not the 50. If you call Peavey Customer Service and ask for the schematic, they used to email it to you that day. I am not c...

Re: Problem with 6505+ 112 combo

Good to see that you have it up and running again. My current amps mostly date back to the mid '90s and I have yet to experience issues with any filter caps. I will definitely keep those in mind should I experience a similar issue. I know most parts are inexpensive, but I am a fan of trying to ident...

Re: The FIRENZA Thread!

The neck is a single conductor pickup and may be the stock neck pickup. I'll wait for one of the Peavey guitar gurus to chime in on this. You won't be able to split it or put the coils in parallel as is. If you have a meter you can get the DC Resistance of the neck pickup which *might* confirm your ...

Re: The FIRENZA Thread!

Photos Attached of my "new" Firenza. I've concluded the previous owner removed the Superswitch and Peavey Pickups and I intend to try to return it to it's original state. I tried to contact Peavey Parts as I also need a Tremolo Arm but I haven't been able to reach them. Any suggestions on how to id...

Yes Cincy, I still have both of my C20's. I have updated my signature link pics to note the amps I've sold, but I may have picked up a couple that I have not added yet.

Re: Peavey Classic 20 - Combo

I am not sure how I missed this one and I am confident you have sorted it out by now. But for future searches, if it is only dirt you can use baby wipes to clean the chrome control panel. They are water based and will not harm the silk screened numbers on the control panel. Here is a link to my C20 ...

Re: Noisy JSX Ultra Channel V2 Recommended V2 12ax7

I love my JSX 212 combo and I should've acquired it much sooner than I did. I just wish it didn't weigh like a battleship. If you do determine this issue is a noisy tube, I have had good luck with the Tung Sol 12AX7 being a low noise tube. Regarding general JSX questions, if you haven't seen it yet,...

Re: Problem with 6505+ 112 combo

Yes, you are correct and my apology. I had asked a similar question, on another forum, and was working off my memory when I replied to this. That schematic is on an older desktop I don't often use, but I should have fired it up and confirmed what I was thinking. Now doing that I see I asked to confi...

Re: some of the most versitile peavey amps around.

I'm going with, in no particular order, my JSX, Penta, Vypyr VIP 3, Bandit 112 and XXL. I love the Clean channel of my Triple XXX, but the JSX wins due to the wider difference in tones between the Crunch and Ultra channels.
