Re: Peavey CL-2 Cluster speaker
Also, you would be best off to re-use the crossover that came with the loudspeaker rather than trying to replace it. I would just move it inside the cabinet somewhere and wire the output of your new amp into the old crossover mounted inside the cabinet. This will definitely be the fastest and easies...

Re: 70-volt speaker amp
According to the manual of the CS 1400, it is indeed capable of 61V RMS out per channel. So when you bridge the amplifier it is actually capable of swinging 122V RMS out. This is plenty more than enough to drive a 70V line. I have done exactly this kind of thing many times and it works very well. Th...

Re: Digitool MX password reset
According to the instructions above you type boote in the command text window at the bottom of the terminal window. I am not seeing this command area at the bottom of the screen. I can drag a White window open and type into that window, but when we push enter, it just starts another line below what...

Re: amplifier to speakers
It seems prudent to point out that the specs for the IPR 7500 speaking of one channel at a time are literally only talking about one of the two channels being used at once. You CAN NOT BRIDGE the IPR 7500 amplifier. I assume if you have 16 woofers and are using them as with 4 amplifiers, you are con...

Re: NION Digital Spike Noise
This is something I have not ever heard of and I used to do support for MediaMatrix NION and related products. I would wonder how aggressive the ducker is set up? I know if you set attack and release functions too aggressively they can make weird noises because of how fast they are happening. You ma...

I am absolutely interested to hear more about your findings. Why did you like these in particular?
How did the RAC-1 fare?
How did the DM2 fare?

Re: Sp2g 44xt adaption
You don't really want to do that... It isn't just an adapter plate... The horn throat is too small on the SP2G since it is set up for the 22 driver. It is something like 7/8 of an inch whilst the 44 is around twice that diameter. The SP1G had a completely different horn in it. If you really want cab...

Re: Daisy chain 4 and 8 ohms together?
1/Rtotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + etc I can't make that formula work either Please see the photo I attached of some scribbling I just did on a note pad that shows both methods of solving the equations for calculating loudspeaker impedance. This is for connecting loudspeakers in parallel, electrically...

Anything is only worth what you can get someone else to pay for it. Sure, they may value something on Antique Roadshows with some absurdly high value, but that value is only true if someone is actually willing to give up the money to buy it. Just because someone says something is worth a specific am...

Re: Digitool HD copy paste questions and improvement ideas
Greetings Mikko! Unfortunately there is not currently an option to export or import subsets or groups of control values. This is unfortunately one of the shortcomings of a product as inexpensive as the Digitool MX Live/16/32 series. As you have found, they offer a significant value in the price vers...

Oh good grief... (Please standby "Mass Hysteria"...) There are a few very light snow flurries outside with no accumulation because the ground is too warm. (...and "Mass Hysteria" GO!) These people in Mississippi do not know what to do with themselves when it is cold, slippery, and snowy outside! LoL...

Re: FH1, MB2 & MF1-X
You can do it with three amplifiers. One amplifier in stereo for the MF-1x One amplifier in stereo for the MB-2 One amplifier in stereo for the FH-1 If you are buying all new amplifiers for this setup and do not want an outboard processor, I would recommend using the following: MF-1x - Crest Audio P...

Re: 215 Bass cab into a Base Combo Series 260
So, was I wrong when I posted that "...it's a choice between using the internal speaker by itself or using the 215 cabinet by itself." ? Will the amp actually power the internal speaker and the 215 cabinet simultaneously? I do not know... where does the internal loudspeaker connect? I have seen som...

Re: 215 Bass cab into a Base Combo Series 260
More simply asked, with this amp that has 2 extension speaker jacks, would plugging in (2) 8 ohm speakers work the same as plugging in (1) 4 ohm speaker? Depending on how they are wired, yes that would be equivalent. Did you actually open the cabinet to look and see how it is really wired? I would ...

Well I made it to Louisiana today. It was a nice day for driving. Yesterday it just kept raining after Knoxville and all the way into Alabama. It's been frustrating getting everything set up for her. She just talked to advisor on Friday and got her classes. Two of the classes she took at another sc...
