Re: Patriot 3 way switch

Yes, any DPDT (double pole - double throw) switch that fits in the space routed out in the body should work fine for you.

Re: Faulty bravo for service

Hi,

I too love Bravos. It is the amp I play through the most.

In the condition that one is in, from your description, I would play it safe and shop around for Amp Techs that will have a flat-rate diagnostic fee.

Re: Rock Master Preamp Footswitch

Keep an eye on eBay in the category of "Parts and Accessories" for Musical Instruments. I see them come up on there now and then.

I sometimes use the Rock Master pre-amp with the Peavey Classic 50/50 tube power amp.

Re: peavey bravo 112 reverb

Not sure what you are describing. Every Bravo I've seen, the reverb wires have a plug that plugs into the bottom of the chassis. Try posting some photos of your problem.

If I'm not using the Eminence made Blue Marvel in my C30, I use an Eminence Texas Heat.

I saw you got an answer to your fan issue on another forum. It's too bad that this Peavey forum has become a bit of a ghost-town.

Re: Unity truss rod cover

I can only suggest keeping an eye on eBay and Reverb in the auctions for guitar & Bass parts

I too have a Unity bass. Love it. Very well built.

Best of luck in your search.

Re: Peavey bravo reverb tank

Hi Discraft, You may want to start by checking and cleaning your connections to and from the reverb tank and chassis. A loose or dirty connection could be a cause. It's possible that it may be a 12AX7 pre-amp tube. The send/return signal itself is handled with a 4558 Op-amp chip, but perhaps a micro...

Re: VSS20 Replacement Speakers

I'm not familiar with the VSS20 but if you're looking for 8ohm 10" speakers, I have used and liked the Eminence Ragin' Cajun 10" and the Jensen MOD 10".

Re: Peavey bravo distortion channel issues

If you haven't changed out the 12AX7 preamp tubes, I would start there. Looking at the tubes, from the back of the amp, starting from the right, the first 12AX7 tube (V1 on schematics) I recall being concerned with the Clean channel. Next to that is the 12AX7 tube (V2) that, as I recall, is for the ...

Re: Bravo 112 has no output

First of all, a disclaimer: there are very dangerous voltages within an amp, even unplugged, due to energy stored in certain capacitors. So, you may want an amp tech to do this for you. It should be a 4 amp fuse, "F2" on the schematic. The heaters for V3, V4 and V5 on a Peavey Bravo 112 are heated ...

Re: New Appreciation for Super Ferrite Pickups

Yep, I hear you on the mods you've done. The first Patriot I swapped in a pair of Duncan P-Rail HBs with a push-pull coil cut so I could play the P-90 coils. My second Patriot I swapped in a pair of Duncan Pearly Gates. My third Patriot, I swapped in a pair of Duncan Phat Cat P-90s And I have one Pa...

Re: Peavey, why do their guitars have such a poor reputation?

It's a mystery to me. I love the Peavey Patriot and Firenza models. And I almost always play through a Peavey Bravo 112. The Bravo, Bandit "Red Stripe" and Classic 30 are all fine amps, IMHO. I also have the rack mounted Rock Master tube pre-amp and Classic 50/50 tube Power Amp. All fine equipment, ...

Re: Peavey Pickups Designed by Bill Lawrence?

AFAIK, Peavey made pickups in house until the "Crafted in USA" stuff like the Predator and Reactor. Those were import. Dont know if BL ever had any input. The T60 "The Circuit" was designed by Red Roades. The Super Ferrites (T60, etc) were wound in house as Hartley and Chip had their own way of win...
