Well, I didn't read all the twenty pages :D and perhaps this was not new, but given Revalver II is able to modify electronic components, why not to allow to change amps and effects skins by the user, or even not only to change them but a way to make brand new ones? If I can make my own amp in Reval...

Re: New cab ir´s

Can I ask this ? In the new version will be there new cab´s ir´s to macth the new amps ? I think we overlook the need to have a cab to macth the amp, and if possible with several mics and mic techniques. Ask away. It is very likely. For every amp I can get my hands on, I will see to they are sample...

Re: Guitar Rig 3 - Anyone tried out the demo yet ?

I had fun playing with the Orange and Hiwatt sims today. There is a different type of sound to GR3 when compared to Revalved II - to my ears the GR3 patches seem to roll off the high end more then RV. RV still seems to have the edge in in "valveness" - but i find the way that GR3 is laid out to be ...

I think what also should be done is to match the real amps and the simulated ones with frequency responses, but maybe they have already done that I don't know.

I realized something on a gig my band was doing a few days ago when we were playing on some really good cabinets, ENGL cabinets actually. The cabinet is more important to the tone than the amp itself. I heard the other band soundcheck and thought that their amps (ENGL powerballs) sounded really good...

How about a Diesel VH4? I have never played one, but if it's good enough for James Hetfield it might be good for me as well.

I like playing with effects and all, and I too think ReValver should have some of these, but I think we might loose focus here: For instance, if I like a certain delay like the one mentioned above in Guitar Rig, I always have the possibility to put that into my ReValver setup with the VST module an...

If you could simulate the "world domination mode" as seen on this video.

I dont have the schematic for this one, but maybe it can be done with impulse responses.

I think the best thing would be to have separate wishlists. For instance one thread for guitar amps, one for pedals, one for effects and one for new innovative stuff.

Shouldn't this be the ultimate DI-box for guitar? Maybe something for RevalverIII or IV? http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=2590 Just plug in GTR’s custom hardware and you’re ready to rock. Electric guitars produce high impedance signals with an extremely wide range of frequencies and dynamics. Bu...

I figured that, but unfortunaly I have a DI-box wihout a trim control for the gain, it only has two -20 dB buttons. As for the soundcard, it doesnt have an instrument input, thats why I have a DI-box. Anyone who can recommend an affordable DI-box with a gain trim pot?

Re: Not enough gain ?

I wrote this in another thread but figured it should be here: I have gotten pretty nice metal sounds with a tube in front of kitty, to drive it a little bit. There is not enough gain on the kitty unless you increase the input gain and digital clipping occurs :p . Hello ! What kind of setup are you ...
