Re: Audio Media Research acquires ReValver from Peavey, new release this month
AMR is still part of Peavey. The change was made to put some distance between R4 and other Peavey modeling products.

Re: No Sound from 3rd Party plugins?
Just FYI...... As far back at June 17th 2019, just 2 weeks after Apple announced macOS Catalina, Presonus published this warning on their website… “Apple’s latest upcoming Operating System Mac OSX 10.15 (Catalina) has started its Public Beta Phase. As Apple's Public Beta progresses, changes will be ...

Re: No Sound from 3rd Party plugins?
Get a pc Apple fanbois. Apple has been throwing pro audio/multimedia users further under the bus with every new OS release. They are more concerned with your Mac playing nice with your iPhone. Catalina has broken EVERYTHING. I got scores of e-mails from plugin developers saying NOT to upgrade. Sorry...

Re: returns
WOW!! Have you NEVER bought ANY software before?? As was stated, ReValver has a FREE unlimited demo.
If you bought the FULL package without trying the demo......that's entirely on you. Many devs are not even
that flexible. Tried to return your Windows 10 upgrade?? Good luck with that.

Re: Revalver III.V can´t be activated again
The problem may not be with ReValver but with your OS upgrade. The last several Mac OS upgrades have caused many problems with various audio hardware and software. It seems like, from the posts I've been reading from Macoids on all the audio forums, that since El Cap they've been throwing pro audio,...

Re: Send midi through to hosted plugin?
Yeah, if it's in your DAW.....don't host it in R4. Just host it as a separate plugin in your DAW.

Re: Proper double micing setup?
Hrmn....interesting problem. I've not tried that in R4. I do it all the time with real amps and mics but I guess ReValver's mic placement abilities are not quite as three dimensional as the real world. With hardware you can just move them around till you find the sweet spot....or flip a phase switch...

Re: How do I get up to speed on the tone I want?
First off.....a great deal of a player like Jimi or Dave Gilmour's tone does NOT come from their gear. It comes from their hands. Jimi could play a POS 60's Teisco into a solid state amp and there would be no mistaking who you're listening to. That being said, as has been mentioned, do your homework...

Re: Midi foot controller for Revalver?
The consensus in the guitar world seems to be that the Behringer FCB1010 is the most flexible MIDI foot controller out there. It can also be expanded and customized with various e-proms. I have not had the opportunity to test it with ReValver tho. Wouldn't it be so very nice if Peavey would just dev...

Re: Studio One 4 doesn't register Revalver 4
That's actually not that unusual. MANY VST plugins will create and install to THAT folder as Steinberg invented VST and as Cubase has such a large user base THAT folder is often their DEFAULT folder. It's been a while since I installed ReValver, but nearly all VST plugins that use installers, (a lot...

Re: Black Classics versus Tweed Classics
The ONE good thing about the 70's tolex classics is that they have direct inputs to the TUBE power amp sections that bypass the SS preamp, (which really kinda suck). This makes them a GREAT platform to amplify hardware and software ampsims......just sayin'.

Re: Almost 2.5 years since an update?
Absolutely. I use an old Peavey Transtube Studio Pro 112 with ALL my hardware modelers as it has a lot of transparent clean headroom and an FX loop.....perfect for the job. Its sounds great with my Roland GS-10 and Line 6 POD X3 I can only imagine how much better it would sound with an R4 hardware r...

A hardware controller.....or better still a standalone hardware version would be awsomely awesome!!
