I've looked online and can't find one anywhere. I just bought a Delta Blues 115 and want to try another 15 as an extension cab. Played a closed back 212 extension cab with it and it sounded pretty good, but I'd rather have the ext cab that goes with my amp (though I'm not sure if it won't sound too "big, bassy" etc). I play mostly clean straight forward rock stuff. Anybody know where I can find one, it'd be much appreciated.

You might have to be pretty patient for this one. It might take some months.

You'll have to bump this now and then, to remind us to keep on the lookout.

It's looking that way. Funny how the fact that you can't find something you're interested in merely trying out makes you want it like its your job to do so!!
Thanks for the response! I might look at a 4-10 too, as that might tighten up the sound a bit.

onehorse,

Here's a 115e here...
http://www.musicgoround.com/search.aspx?q=peavey+115&cid=8&scid=0&sid=0&d=10&c=10&ob=6&p=1

kinda pricey...especially with 100 bucks shipping!!!

Or how about a 212?
here...

Good Luck and God Bless,

You might be better off just going with something else. Those cabs don't come up for sale very often and even if you could get one today you might not like the way it sounded with your amp. It seems like people with the 115 usually prefer a cab with 10 or 12 inch speakers and people with the 210 go for cabs with 12 inch speakers. Your best bet would be to experiment with a few different cabs to figure out which configuration is going to really compliment your amp to round things out and give you the tone that you want.

Edit: Wow, that's the best deal on one of those Classic 212 cabs I've ever seen.

Sweet Lord!! $400?? Too rich for my blood. The 2-12 is a bit more doable. My bandmate has a few cabs I'm gonna play around with first- closed back 212, open single 12, closed single- just to get an idea of what I like. I've got a MusicMan 210 65 in competition with the Delta, and I've already determined that neither are gonna do it for me without the depth that an extension cab brings, and extension cabs that match either are fairly rare, but I always want to have the real thing or a matched set, if you will. Should be interesting and not cheap either way! Thanks for the input and the links!!

Classic 30 112 AND 112e Extension = Perfect Match

Dimensions Same.....

Delta Blues 115 AND 115e Extension = NOT A Match

Dimensions Different......

115e Made As Dimensional Match To 410e Cabinet

115e AND 410e = Match For Classic 50 410 Combo

True story, but even though I've never heard one in person and it's near impossible to find a review I still had to fight back the urge to buy at that price. I know if I didn't like it, even after a speaker swap, I could put it back to stock and make the money back. I guess it's a good thing I'm happy with the gear I've got now.

Much thanks for that craiglook.com link. I didn't know anything like that existed. I usually only check the local listings because it seems like the people posting on craigslist never want to ship anything. Even in the same state! Still, it doesn't hurt to ask.

I wonder if I'll get more warmth and body (not looking for crunch so much- only rarely) out of a 2-12 or a 4-10? Any thoughts? I'm new to looking at Peavey for guitar gear, not to mention new to the realm of using extension cabinets as well, though the "shootout" I've been doing at practice between my musicman with a 2-12 or the delta with the same 2-12 shows me that they both sound better with the extension cab- although the cab I'm using to compare is not a 16ohm cab (I'm only running it for a few minutes, in case I'm hurting anything).

Something to consider: If you go with the 212, it is less expensive to buy other speakers to mix and match, plus the selection is better.

go to Guitar Center's website under used gear and do a national search for this cab, I saw one at one of their stores this week while searching for a c30 head.
